New Ash Green & Hartley Cricket Club is a friendly, sociable club which started out in 1972. A short history of the Club, along with past match reports, averages and some recollections of former players can be found under the Archive link.
In order to enhance the Club we seek to:
The Saturday 1st XI play in Division 1A West of the Kent Regional Cricket League and the 2nd XI play in Division 2B East & Central of the same League. The Sunday XI play an extensive range of friendly fixtures aimed at developing young players and giving social players a game.
The Club also runs regular Colts teams. Teams play in local colts' leagues depending on numbers available at different age groups and friendly matches are also arranged. For the 2010 season we are aiming at running league teams at both under 13 and under 15 levels, and are looking for new recruits at both age groups. We are a small club and our aim is more teaching our young players to enjoy the game than worrying about turning out future England players, so enthusiasm and willingness are more important than ability as a qualification. Many of our current senior teams are graduates from the colts section over the last few years!
We welcome new players at all ages and every level. Anyone wishing to support the Club as umpire, scorer or 'tea maker' are also very welcome. The club will consider overseas players. At present, although we can promise overseas players a friendly welcome and an enjoyable time playing competitive cricket, we can provide very little in the way of financial support.
