The club is in possession
of several lever arch files full of old documents collected by the various
secretaries and other officials over the years, with various degrees of
diligence. Much of this makes pretty dull reading (try going through the
minutes of years of Sports Association Committee Minutes if you need a cure for
insomnia) but there are a few nuggets, including some match reports, some
vitriolic exchanges of letters with various disgruntled members and other
parties and a few other bits and pieces that may be of interest. We intend to
transcribe the most interesting of these and post them below, but we'd also
welcome any contributions that anyone else would like to make in terms of match
reports, historic pictures or just general reminiscences of cricket at New Ash
Green. We start the page of with comprehensive match reports from the whole of
the club's first season in 1972. We have also added match reports and
statistics from recent seasons.
